NYCのHIPHOPクルー Pro Era のメンバー、そして2010年代初頭のNYCラップ・リバイバルを支えた重要人物の一人として活動してきたChuck Strangersの『A Forsaken Lover’s Plea』がカセットで登場！本作では、自身のプロデュースを中心に、The Alchemist、Animoss、NV、Graymatter、Zoomo、Obii Say、Eyedress らが参加。客演にはPro Eraの盟友 Joey Bada$$、Flatbush Zombiesの Erick the Architect、Queensの Remy Banks、そしてObii Sayが参加。本作のテーマとなっているのは長年HIPHOPの活動の中で経験した成功や失敗、葛藤、忍耐、そして音楽への愛情を、まるで“失恋”のような関係性に重ねながら、率直でパーソナルなラップへと落としこみ、ソウルフルでレイドバックしたプロダクションと、Chuck Strangersの飾らないリリックが重なった、NYCアンダーグラウンドHIPHOPの系譜と彼自身の現在地を感じられる一作。

The album features tracks primarily produced by Chuck Strangers himself, with contributions from The Alchemist, Animoss, NV, Graymatter, Zoomo, Obii Say, and Eyedress. Guest appearances include Pro Era ally Joey Bada$$, Erick the Architect of the Flatbush Zombies, Queens-based Remy Banks, and Obii Say. The album’s central theme is the success, failure, conflict, perseverance, and love for music experienced over many years in the hip-hop scene. By overlaying these experiences onto a relationship akin to “heartbreak,” he translates them into candid and personal rap.
