東京を拠点に活動するギタリスト/コンポーザーの yutaka hirasaka が、2023年10月にカナダの名門レーベル Inner Ocean Records からリリースした作品。本作は、彼が2019年に発表したアルバム『element』の収録曲を2023年当時の音色で録音し直したセルフ･カバー楽曲と、「青」をテーマに書き下ろした新曲によって構成されています。作者自身が「青いロマンスを追い求める気持ちや、あの美しい空への憧れを音に織り込むことができた」と語る通り、繊細なギターの残響やアンビエントの浮遊感、息遣いのような静けさや日常の優しさを感じさせるサウンドが主体となった全12曲を収録。さらにオープン･リールや4トラックのカセットテープなどのアナログ機材も制作プロセスに取り入れられており、その温かみのあるメランコリックな質感が聴く人の記憶にそっと寄り添う、透明感とノスタルジーが同居した美しい音風景が広がっています。

This release, from Tokyo-based guitarist and composer Yutaka Hirasaka, was issued in October 2023 via the prestigious Canadian label Inner Ocean Records. The project consists of self-covers—re-recordings of tracks from his 2019 album *element*, reimagined with the sonic palette of 2023—alongside new material composed around the theme of "blue." As Hirasaka himself notes, he was able to "weave into the music the feeling of pursuing a 'blue' romance, as well as a longing for that beautiful sky." The 12-track collection is defined by delicate guitar reverberations, an ambient, drifting quality, and a quiet, intimate atmosphere—evoking the gentle, everyday moments of life. By incorporating analog equipment such as open-reel tape machines and 4-track cassette recorders into the production process, Hirasaka achieves a warm, melancholic texture that resonates softly with the listener’s own memories, creating a beautiful soundscape where clarity and nostalgia coexist.
