Epoch【TAPE】- 松永拓馬

1999年生まれの松永拓馬は、幼少期からクラシック、ブラック･ミュージック、アンビエント、電子音楽など多種多様な音楽に触れて育ち、2021年から本格的に活動を開始した東京拠点の音楽家である。本作は、yahyel のメンバーとしても知られる篠田ミルをプロデューサーに迎え、約1年半の歳月をかけて制作された最新アルバム。アナログ･シンセサイザーとデジタル･シンセサイザーをリアルタイムで操作しながら録音された本作は、アンビエントや電子音楽をベースにヒップホップのエッセンスを融合させた、嘘偽りのないピュアな作品に仕上がっている。アルバム･タイトルの語源であるギリシャ語の「epokhe（エポケー）」は、「判断を保留し、一時停止すること、上に保持すること」を意味するが、『Epoch』はまさしく、日常の中に潜む恍惚や陶酔を宙吊りにしようと試みる。それは日常でありながら非日常であり、現実でありながら夢でもある、あるいはそのどちらでもない場所。本作はそれらすべてを内包して宙吊りにされたものであり、その間を往還する松永拓馬の音響的な軌跡そのものなのだ。

Born in 1999, Takuma Matsunaga is a Tokyo-based musician who launched his career in earnest in 2021, having grown up immersed in a diverse range of genres—from classical and "Black music" to ambient and electronic music. This latest album was created over the course of approximately a year and a half with producer Miru Shinoda, also known as a member of the band yahyel. Recorded through the real-time manipulation of both analog and digital synthesizers, the album is a genuinely pure work that fuses hip-hop elements with an ambient and electronic foundation. The title *Epoch* derives from the Greek word *epokhe*—meaning to suspend judgment, to pause, or to hold something in suspension—and the album itself attempts to hold the ecstasy and euphoria lurking within everyday life in that state of suspension. It represents a space that is simultaneously ordinary and extraordinary, real and dreamlike—or perhaps neither. The album encapsulates all these facets in a state of suspension, serving as the very sonic trajectory of Takuma Matsunaga as he moves back and forth between them.
