🇺🇸ニューヨークを拠点に活動する3人組バンド Triathalonによる『Funeral Music』。

「自分の葬式で流してほしい音楽」をイメージして制作された本作は、失恋や葛藤、成長、自己発見といったパーソナルな経験を背景に、これまで以上にダークで内省的な世界へと踏み込んだ作品。クリーンなギター🎸、生々しいドラム🥁、ピアノ、ファーストテイクのボーカルなど、余白を活かしたシンプルかつ実験的なサウンドが印象的。特に「RIP」では、90年代オルタナティブ・ロックやグランジの影響も感じさせる荒々しい質感を披露している。

It’s dark! The simple yet experimental sound—featuring clean guitars 🎸, raw drums 🥁, piano, and first-take vocals—makes effective use of negative space. In particular, “RIP” showcases a raw, gritty texture that evokes the influence of ’90s alternative rock and grunge.
