A.T.B.A.N. Klann was a legendary hip-hop group formed in their teens by Will 1X (now will.i.am) and apl.de.ap—who would later go on to form the Black Eyed Peas—as an offshoot of their breakdance crew. They signed with the legendary rapper Eazy-E's label, Ruthless Records, and recorded an album between 1992 and 1994; however, due to Eazy-E's death and internal label politics, the project was shelved and never officially released. Now, that "lost" debut album has finally arrived in a cassette edition! Distinctly different from the West Coast gangsta rap that dominated the era, this hidden gem features a jazzy, conscious sound heavily influenced by artists like A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul.
