北海道･札幌のノイエ･ドイチェ･ヴェレ/ノー･ウェイヴ/ポスト･パンク･バンド GOTOU の一員としても知られ、現在はトランス･プロジェクト CYBER ACID RAVE PEOPLE (C.A.R.P.) や異色ヴィジュアル系バンド「致命的『失い』」のメンバーとしても活動するアーティスト OTACO が、2026年6月11日にリリースしたファースト･ソロ･アルバムをストックいたしました！2月に配信限定シングルとしてリリースされた”かっこいいつきあいたい”(B4)を含む全9曲を収録。本作では、初期 XL Recordings のレイヴ･チューンや、UKトランス･クラシックを彷彿とさせるミニマルでトリッキーなトラックの上に、ネット･ミームを感じるエフェクトや萌え萌えギャル･ボイスが乗る、非常に特異で中毒性の高いエレクトロニック･ポップ･ミュージックを展開しております。メロウな歌ものを中心とした非常にポップな一面と、剥き出しのトラック･メイキング･センスが光る一面が共存しており、SNS文化や目まぐるしい夜の街、デジタル消費といった現代社会を生きる葛藤を見事に反映。キラキラしたポジティブさの中に、どこかメンヘラ感やBAD VIBESが垣間見える、胸キュンな世界観が魅力のインターネット･ギャルJ-POPです！

We have just stocked the debut solo album from artist OTACO—known for his work with the Sapporo-based Neue Deutsche Welle/No Wave/Post-Punk band GOTOU, as well as his current involvement in the trance project CYBER ACID RAVE PEOPLE (C.A.R.P.) and the unconventional Visual Kei band "Chimeiteki 'Ushinai'." The album, released on June 11, 2026, features nine tracks, including "Kakkoii Tsukiaitai" (B4), which was previously released as a digital-only single this past February. The record presents a highly unique and addictive form of electronic pop: minimal, intricate tracks—reminiscent of early XL Recordings rave anthems and classic UK trance—layered with internet-meme-inspired effects and "moe-moe" gal-style vocals. It strikes a balance between accessible, mellow pop songs and raw, sharp-edged production, brilliantly capturing the struggles of navigating modern life—from social media culture and the dizzying pace of nightlife to the consumption of digital content. It is "Internet Gal J-POP" with a captivating, heart-fluttering aesthetic; beneath the glittering, positive surface, one can catch glimpses of a "menhera" (emotionally unstable) edge and dark, unsettling vibes.
