Land's End Eternal【TAPE】-Cole Pulice

電子音響サックス奏者、即興演奏家、作曲家であるコール・ピュリスは、揺らめく別世界のような美しさを表現する。瞑想的なアンビエント・ジャズ『Land's End Eternal』で、コールはエレキ・ギターを導入し、新たな質感を加えている。エレキ・ギターは、これまで彼らの音楽では聴くことができなかった楽器だが、このアルバムでは作曲と音響のツールとして中心的な役割を果たした。ギターは彼らにとって新しい楽器であるため、コールはその経験を「子供の脳みそ」に似ていると表現している。方向性のない好奇心という遊び心で楽器に取り組んだことで、柔軟で自由なサウンドスケープが展開されている。

Electroacoustic saxophonist, improviser, and composer, Cole Pulice captures a shimmering, otherworldly beauty. In the meditative ambient jazz of “Land's End Eternal,” Cole introduces electric guitar to add a new texture. The electric guitar, an instrument previously unheard of in their music, played a central role on this album as a compositional and sonic tool. Since the guitar is a new instrument for them, Cole describes the experience as akin to “a child's brain. The playful approach to the instrument, a curiosity without direction, has resulted in a flexible and free soundscape.
