大阪を拠点に活動するビートメイカー／プロデューサー、NICKELMANによる最新作『Mangoes II』が、カナダの老舗HIPHOPレーベル〈URBNET〉よりカセットテープでリリース。

2021年に発表された『Mangoes』の続編となる本作は、前作からさらに広がったスウィートでメロウなビート・ミュージック。ソウルフルなグルーヴを軸に、トロピカルやエキゾチカ、ダブ、サイケデリックな揺らぎを取り込み、夏の日の暖かいそよ風のような豊かなヴィンテージ・ボーカル・レイヤーが見事に融合、とろけるようなループとヒップホップビートが心地よく絡み合います。

ダビーなイントロから始まり、果汁が滴るような瑞々しいビート、軽快なダンストラック、哀愁を帯びたメロウなソウルまで、14曲をひとつの映画のサウンドトラックのように滑らかに展開。

Osaka-based beatmaker and producer NICKELMAN’s latest release, *Mangoes II*, has been released on cassette tape by the long-established Canadian hip-hop label *URBNET*.

A sequel to *Mangoes*, released in 2021, this album features sweet and mellow beat music that expands even further on the sound of its predecessor. Centered around soulful grooves, it incorporates elements of tropical, exotica, dub, and psychedelic textures, with melt-in-your-mouth loops and hip-hop beats intertwining in a soothing blend.

Starting with a dubby intro, the 14 tracks unfold seamlessly—from juicy, fresh beats to upbeat dance tracks and melancholic, mellow soul—much like the soundtrack to a single film.

The music resonates with the collage artwork created by NICKELMAN’s own art alias, 〈55555〉, crafting a unique worldview not only through sound but also visually.
