MF DOOM(Metal Fingers 名義) による人気インストシリーズ『Special Herbs』の第5＆6巻が、カセットでリイシュー。オリジナルは2004年3月23日リリースされたインスト集で、DOOMがプロデューサーとして築いた独自のサウンドが詰まった一作です。

『Special Herbs』シリーズは、70年代ソウル～ファンク、80年代R&B、ヒップホップの歴史的サンプルなどを自在にブレンドしたビート群をテーマにしており、Metal FingersことDOOMのクリエイティブな発想とサンプリング技術が余すところなく発揮されています。各トラックはハーブや植物の名前で命名され、独特の雰囲気と遊び心を醸し出しています。
