This release is highly acclaimed by devoted G-Funk listeners and Chicano rap collectors—both in Japan and abroad—for its style: rapping about street realities (sometimes dispassionately, sometimes with a dark edge) over tracks that feature West Coast-style G-Funk with undulating synth sounds and melancholic, mellow melodies. He is a "cult favorite" gangsta rapper who vanished completely from the music scene after releasing this album on the indie label On Tha Grind Records.
