BANBI—a DJ and beatmaker originally from Sapporo and currently based in Kanagawa—presents his long-awaited debut full-length album, released via KAIKOO, the label helmed by DJ BAKU. Having honed his craft across countless live performances, BANBI has cultivated a unique groove by blending hip-hop with a diverse range of influences, including jazz, soul, funk, reggae, and rock. He produced the beats for every track on the album, resulting in a definitive work that serves as the culmination of his musical journey thus far. The album features an array of guest artists, including prominent figures from the Japanese "mixture" (crossover) scene such as KOJIMA (Yamaarashi) and Raimon (smorgas / NEO BURNING FIRES); key players in the Kanagawa street scene like NASTY-K (DIRTY JOINT) and SHEEF THE 3RD (BLAHRMY); reggae stalwarts FORTUNE D and DRAGON CHOP; long-time collaborators Qugo and YAS I AM; and the soulful vocalist Shunské G. The title, *QUESTS*, signifies a series of ongoing explorations—a collection of sessions with peers met along the way, where the paths each artist has traveled converge to weave a new story within this single body of work. Furthermore, the strictly limited-edition cassette tape includes an exclusive, one-of-a-kind DJ mix on the B-side (accompanied by a digital download code)!
