ノルウェーを拠点とする Jostein Dahl Gjelsvik のソロ･プロジェクトとして再始動した Pjusk がNYの老舗エレクトロニカ/アンビエント･レーベル 12k に久しぶりにカムバック。ノルウェー語で塩と風を意味する本作では、リラクゼーションのための背景音楽とは一線を画す、自然の脅威と人間の葛藤を見事に音像化した緊張感のあるシネマティック・アンビエントを展開。従来の 12k 作品とは異なり、金属的な擦れ音や静寂を切り裂くノイズ、不協和音が全編に緊張感をもたらしている、固定概念を覆す北欧産ダーク･アンビエント作品に仕上がっております。

Pjusk, the solo project of Norway-based Jostein Dahl Gjelsvik, has been relaunched and is making a long-awaited comeback to the venerable New York electronica/ambient label 12k. Meaning "salt and wind" in Norwegian, this work sets itself apart from background music for relaxation, presenting tense, cinematic ambient music that brilliantly visualizes the awe-inspiring power of nature and the conflict between humans. Unlike previous 12k works, metallic scraping sounds, noises that pierce the silence, and dissonances create tension throughout, resulting in a dark ambient work from Scandinavia that defies conventions.
