Spells【TAPE】- Nailah Hunter

We now have in stock the debut EP from LA-based harpist and composer Nailah Hunter, originally released in 2020 via the renowned label Leaving Records! As Hunter herself describes it, "Each track is its own spell, its own space—I like to create 'places' through music." The EP features six tracks that transport the listener to a distant, tranquil realm. Infused with a contemporary, ethereal quality—reminiscent at times of vaporwave—and evoking the spirit of masters like Alice Coltrane and Harold Budd, the work blends masterful harp melodies with chants that recall sacred hymns. It has garnered high acclaim as a beautiful, dreamlike, and innovative take on ambient/new-age music.
