アメリカのいとこ同士によるソウル･デュオ Mel & Tim が、名門 Stax Records に移籍して発表した1972年リリースのサザン･ソウル屈指の名作アルバム。前レーベルの倒産により不遇の時代を迎えていた2人が、南部マッスル･ショールズの著名なプロデューサー陣と出会い、見事なカムバックを果たした記念碑的な作品でもあります。本作は、言わずと知れた大ヒット･タイトル曲"Starting All Over Again"(A2)を筆頭に、ソウル･ファンの間でタイトル曲に並んで人気が高い非常にスウィートで極上なメロウ･ミディアム･ナンバー"Heaven Knows"(B1)など、シカゴ仕込みの洗練された都会的センスとディープなサザン･ソウルが見事に融合した全10曲が収録されています。
