The album opens with a track sampling \"TRUE LIES\" by Yoko Kuzutani—a talented singer-songwriter who was a driving force in the Japanese R\u0026amp;B and City Pop scenes of the late 90s, producing numerous hits. Throughout the album, Groovy Groom masterfully samples Japanese pop, R\u0026amp;B, and funk from the 80s and 90s, as well as commercial jingles and TV background music. By slowing down original tracks and applying heavy effects, the artist reconstructs the signature floating sensation and emotional atmosphere of vaporwave.
