Rikimaru's current state, influenced by his experience working at a New York MTA (Subway) train depot and the atmosphere he felt there, is a key factor in his DJ style. Side A, themed \"The Silence and Cool Air of the Night,\" is centered around his roots in New York underground hip-hop, incorporating tracks from the West Coast, Canada, and other regions, all imbued with the subway atmosphere. Side B, on the other hand, reflects influences from sampling sources such as soul and rock. As the subtitle \"Roots Beneath the City\" suggests, it reinterprets city-rooted music and hip-hop foundational tracks through the filter of a current vinyl-only hip-hop DJ. While offering a relaxed groove in contrast to Side A, it connects with a shared vibe.\u003cbr\u003eThe album cover art was created by Äura, a singer\/painter based in Osaka.
